Watson was first reported to us on June 13, 2024. He was with a pack of 5 dogs total, who had been abandoned near the shelter. We continued to look for them but hadn’t seen any of them. Then one week later, we saw him by a ranch laying in a field enjoying to sun. He was easy for us to get. He seemed to be in ok condition, but had many bites or cuts all over his body. He had healthy bloodwork and was only slightly underweight. He is doing great at the shelter but can be a bit unpredictable around some alpha males. Really we don’t think it’s him but more the shelter environment because he was abandoned with males and females and was fine around them! We’d recommend he be the only male dog or with a submissive male in the home and go to a home with some past dog experience to be safe. He actually has been kenneled with Fantasma with zero issues. No small children or cats. He definitely had an owner because he knows how to shake both paws and loves to play fetch. He’s very sweet and gentle with people and really like to play with toys. This guy truly does deserve to be spoiled.
