Ramon was originally posted on fb as being very underweight and having some open wounds on his head and back. He was seen running in the streets in Bucerias, near the jail. The same woman who posted him hadn’t seen him for a couple months. When she did again, he seemed thinner. She found out he had owners and asked them if she could take him, since they weren’t caring for him. They refused so she reported them to the municipality who made them relinquish him to our care. Of course he was skinny because of erlichea. He is very calm and a bit nervous at the shelter. But he is getting meds and a raw diet so we hope he will improve in no time. He is a senior so may not be able to travel but would be a good candidate for a local adoption or our forever foster program.
