Mama was a stray dog in PV and wife of Jed (he recently passed over the Rainbow Bridge) they were always together and so attached. Jed was already getting old and having health problems so Teri rescued them both and brought them to us Mama is around 10 yrs old and healthy so far. She’s enjoying retirement at the shelter as it is 100 times better than the street. She is not a dog who we will adopt out. She loves to be free and is currently enjoying playing with many of our puppies. In the late summer of 2023, Mama had to have one of her front legs amputated. We have no idea how or why, but she was seen by one of our volunteers crossing the busy 200, injured. It was seriously fate they crossed paths at the same time. She had a horrible injury so lost her leg. She has adapted extremely well. She will live her life out with us in sanctuary.
