Lumi and siblings came to us at only 3 days old. Her mama Sun (who has since been adopted to BC, Canada) was reported to us as giving birth to 10 puppies on the street in San Vicente, Nayarit. Sadly only 8 survived but they are definitely thriving! Lumi is a total love bug, as is most the litter. She loved being held as a young pup loves attention from people. She’s your typical playful pup. While at the shelter, she spent her days around many pups, playing all day. She can also be really calm. Seems to be the best of both worlds and she is so cute! We do not know her dad so can’t predict her full size but mom is around 44lbs. We expect her to be in the 40-50lb range fully grown. She has finished her vetting protocols and went to a foster of ours in Portland, OR at the end of December 2024. Lumi is walking great on the leash with her foster! She is currently the last of two siblings in the litter waiting to be adopted.
Her foster feels she would do best in a home with another dog or with someone who is around often/works from home. She doesn’t like being left alone and prefers companionship. Likely this is because she was always around many dogs and people while she lived at the shelter, so that’s what she’s most comfortable with.
