Lluvia (rain in spanish) was brought to us by a worker at the neighboring ranch. He saw a tree branch fall on her back leg during a storm in San Vicente. He immediately knew she was injured. Turns out she had a broken leg and was in tremendous pain. Due to her age and projected growth, the vet did not recommend surgery, only casting. She went through a few different casts over a a couple month period. She then went to a short term foster after it was taken off, so the shelter dogs wouldn’t be jumping on her. After a couple weeks there, she was cleared to come back to the shelter. You’d never know she had a broken leg. She plays like a typical puppy. Very social, loving and cute!
