Kibo

Male - Shepherd mix

Age: February 2022 | Weight: 24kg

Kibo was being kept on the second story of a house when he fell off, this prompted the person who had him to ask for help. He was picked up from Valle de Banderas and went straight to a foster home. He’s been house trained and leash trained. Kibo was around many dogs at the shelter. It can take him time to warm up to new people and things. He can, at times, be an insecure pup. Someone with experience is preferred(not a first time owner). His foster said he’s very loving in the home but his nervous energy can come out when outside and meeting new people. But he’s very curious and wants to meet both dogs and people. We think a home with space, a fenced in backyard, would suit Kibo the best. He also needs another dog around to help with his initial insecurities. Once he learns to trust he is one of the most loving pups out there. He needs some stability and an adopter who’s willing to give him time, and understand he needs patience. He also needs daily exercise, as any pup does! He loves toys and snuggling the most. We have recently learned how much Kibo loves the water. So an active family/owner, with another social dog, would be the best fit for him.

Kibo was adopted to Vancouver and it did not go well. The couple did not let him around any other dogs saying he was leash aggressive. We moved him from their home and brought him back to Mexico. He is thriving at our shelter with his best friend Nelly. He loves to be free, running and playing with all the dogs. He loves water, people and other dogs. Seeing how much happier he is with us, we will not put him through another potential failed adoption. Unless, he was adopted along with Nelly to a large ranch or acreage.
