gyro
Male-mixed breed
Age: July 2018 | Weight: 17kg
Gyro was rescued not far from the shelter, where he had been hit by a car. He had some injuries to his back legs but nothing which required surgery, only rest. He is a very calm, quiet dog. He will come out around the other dogs but mostly retreats to his kennel out of the excitement. We do think he’d do much better in a home than a loud shelter. He has healed but may always favor a back leg. He is not a dog who would need much exercise. May some short walks but he would likely be content relaxing inside or in a yard. We know he is completely fine with other dogs and is kenneled at night with 1-2 others. But if a dog is in his face he will show his teeth to set his boundaries. A quiet retirement home would be best for this guy. He might even benefit from some water therapy, but we don’t know if he likes water!
