Fantasma was rescued by a man who saw him in horrible conditions in the street. He was walking very unsteady, unbalanced. He was taken to our vet immediatley. Our vet thinks he may be a distemper survivor but also due to being so malnourished, he was weak enough it affected his walking. You can see his skin as well, with several patches with no fur and irritation. So far he has settled in really well. He loves to be out all day around the other dogs. He isn’t showing signs of being particularly playful but does like being around the others and is very aware of what’s going on around him. He almost seems like he’s not been shown affection before, as he doesn’t understand or react to it much when we give him attention.
Sept “24: Fantasma has really come around. He walks/runs completely normal and his coat has filled in nicely. He’s a playful pup for sure. We do not think he had distemper, but likely wasn’t walking well to being underweight and malnourished.
