Ellie came to us being rescued off the streets of Bucerias July 2021(with 2 other dogs). She was extremely malnourished and had what we thought was mange. Over time she has had many tests done on her skin, including scrapes, and many medicated baths. She’s also had thyroid testing which proved to be normal. Her skin seems to be scarred as she hasn’t grown new hair for a very long time. She is dog social but can be a little grumpy at times. Mostly she sleeps her days away but loves a good belly rub and attention. She could use a bit more activity since she is a bit chunky at this time. The sun is not her skin’s friend so she shouldn’t be out in it for long periods of time. If she is, she might need some pet friendly sunblock, especially on her snout. A shady yard would be perfect. She’s pretty low energy overall but gets the occasional zoomies. She would do best in a quieter home, with no young kids. She is not cat friendly based on her reactions to cats outside the shelter.
