Barkley was reported as lost or abandoned. He was found outside a grocery store in San Jose. We thought he was very old and blind, as his eyes were very blue. He appears to have had some sort of back end/hip injury as he isn’t super stable all the time when he walks. After being in our care a week, his eyes completely cleared up and he has gained alot of energy. He seems to do ok around other dogs but also seems to possibly be more on the alpha side. He has not exhibited any aggressive behaviors. He might do best as an only dog or with someone who has shepherd experience. He does well with two of our other long term residents, Solovino and Sasha. We will keep him in our care for his lifetime.
